A diet high in sugar causes premature aging. The skin looks dull, is no longer smooth, looses elasticity quickly and is more prone to inflamation ( redness).

Why? Sugar in the bloodstream naturally attaches itself to proteins ( collagen l, ll & lll ) that give us young , smooth, taut healthy looking skin. When the sugar & collagen combine they form a new molecule called advanced glycation end-product ( AGE ). The more sugar you eat the more AGE`s you develop. The collagens are the most abundant protein in the body. In their natural state they are suple & elastic but when damaged by sugar they become dry & brittle, leading to wrinkles and sagging.

Collagen lll is the most abundant, long lasting & stable protein in the skin. When sugar attaches itself to collagen lll, it is changed to collagen l which breaks down easily, leaving the skin sagging and dull.

This new molecule, AGE, also deactivates the body`s natural antioxidants, leaving you vulnerable to even more damage, especially from the sun!

You can take steps to minimize the number of AGE`s being formed.

First, you need to reverse your insulin resistance using the all natural supplement,`Glucofast`. This will enable you to curb the sugar cravings.

Next, you need to limit the amount of added sugar in your diet. By added sugar, I mean the sugar found in all foods that are not `whole foods` ie fruits, vegetables, whole grains.

When you purchase a product that has a label on it ( foods with a label are not whole foods) and that label says it contains 28g carbohydrates, that is 7 teaspoons of sugar. Don`t forget that the label listing is for each serving-not the whole package. For future reference- 4 g(grams) of sugar is equal to one teaspoon. You would never add 7 teaspoons of sugar to your bowl of cereal in the morning-right. Chances are there is already that much per serving if you check the label.

A nice big juicy sweet apple may contain 10-12 g sugar but that sugar is in combination with lots of natural fiber which slows down the absorption rate of the sugar, does not induce high amounts of insulin to be sent into the blood stream and is more readily available to be metabolized for energy.

B vitamins are potent AGE inhibitors. Add a B complex supplement to your diet.

Skin exposed to sun has significantly more AGE`s so use a broad spectrum sunscreen.

Antioxidants help prevent sugar from attaching to protein so eat lots of antioxidant rich whole foods. These are vegetables and fruit that have high colors ie: dark green, purple, red, blue , orange and yellow. High antioxidant supplements are ginko, grape seed extract, milk thistle, ginger, tumeric, rosemary, green tea, vitamin C and vitamin E.

Sugar is not bad unless you are consuming too much. Our consumption of sugar has increased by more than 1000 % since the 70`s. Averaged out, each person is consuming about 180 lbs of sugar per year or 1/2 lb per day.
Every time something with sugar touches your taste buds it triggers the pancreas to send out a lot of insulin to break down & use the sugar. Because the sugar is burned very quickly, you are left with a very high amount of insulin in the blood. This free roaming insulin causes you to crave more sugary foods and the viscious cycle is in full swing. This is what leads to obesity and insulin resistance and then on to other major health problems.
Food processors today dont have to identify all the sugars in their product, they are only required to give you the `total grams` of sugar on the content label.
Here are some of the names of sugars used:
Corn syrup and high density corn syrup (HDCS)
Sucrose
Glucose
Maltose
Dextrose
Lactose
Fructose
Fruit concentrate
Malt
Maple sugar
Sucanat
Natural cane sugar
Dehydrated cane juice

High Fructose corn syrup is a `supersugar` and is an ingredient in almost every processed or sweetened food such as pop, cookies, cakes, baked goods, canned foods, frozen foods, breakfast cereals, salad dressings, luncheon meats, canned fruits, all bread products, peanut butter, all crackers, soups, sausage, yogury, relish, katsup, cheese dips, chewing gum, jams & jellies, frozen desserts. This is just a `short list`.

The introduction of HFCS is associated with the beginning of the obesity epidemic. The digestion, metabolism and absorption of fructose ( HFCS) is different from that of regular sugar. Regular sugar is a combination of fructose and glucose, known as `sucrose`.
Fructose is the type of sugar found in fruit, but the `whole` fruit also contains an abundance of fiber which slows down the absorption of the sugar and there is much less fructose in one apple as compared to 1 cup of sweetened apple juice. Glucose is the type of sugar the body uses for energy and is the type of sugar found naturally in beans & whole grains.
When fructose is processed into high-fructose corn syrup is is absorbed even more quickly than regular sugar and it does not stimulate the release of the hormone `leptin` which tells your brain you are full. Therefore you continue to be hungry and eat even more foods containing HFCS. When your food contains glucose your brain gets the message that you are full or satisfied. Once fructose
( HFCS) enters the cell it becomes acetyl-CoA which is made into cholesterol, produces a fatty liver and slows down your metabolism. Cut out processed foods and watch your cholesterol and triglyceride levels drop immediately.

75 % of overweight people and 40% of normal weight people suffer from a biological imbalance involving insulin.
This imbalance causes overpowering cravings and intense hunger pangs for carbohydrates/sugar.

1) After eating a full breakfast, do you get really hungry before its time for lunch, yet, if you skipped breakfast you just cruise to lunch?

2) Do you get tired after eating a big meal?

3) Have you been on every diet going and gain back every pound you lost plus more?

4) If you are tired or bored, do you want to eat?

5) Are you still not satisfied after eating a big meal?

6) Do you feel tired, cranky and irritable if you miss a meal, other than breakfast?

7) If you get headaches, do you feel better for a while after you eat?

  Do you crave sweets?

9) Do you feel like you can`t stop eating carbs once you get started?

10) Do you have poor concentration and memory at times?

11) Does eating calm you down?

12) Do you have trouble loosing weight?

13) Are you tired a lot of the time?

14) Do you get frequent infections, ie-colds?

15) Do you get yeast or fungal infections?

16) Do you have extra `belly fat`?

17) Do you have any family history of diabetes, hypoglycemia, or alcoholism?

18) Do you have elevated cholesterol or tryglycerides?

If you said yes to even six of these questions, you are among the 193 million people who have `insulin resistance`. It is also called `metabolic syndrome`. This condition is completely reversible by making dietary, exercise and lifestyle changes.

MSG Increases Insulin in Your Blood

In studies all over the world scientists were creating obese mice and rats to use in diadetes test studies. There is no such thing as `natural obesity` in mice or rats so they had to be created. How did they do this—they did it by injecting them with MSG (monosodium glutamate) as soon as they were born. The MSG triples the amount of insulin the pancreas creates, and the subjects become obese without eating any more food. The fastest way to develop insulin resistance is to live on packaged or fast foods which are exceptionally high in MSG. The food industry has no limit on the amount of MSG they are allowed to put in processed, packaged food.

MSG is a substance extracted from grains or beets ( harmless in its natural form). It is used to enhance flavor and is known to be addictive, therefore you want more of that food. It accentuates the `saltiness` of some foods and became over used when we demanded everything be low fat-in order to make the food taste good, lots of MSG was added. You know how you always say that an hour after a meal of chinese food you are hungry again–well thats because you have an abundance of insulin in your blood from the MSG and it makes you crave more food.

Here is a list of `other` names for MSG:
* hydrolyzed vegetable protein
modified enzymes
barley malt
calcium caseinate
carrageen
maltodextrin
malt extract
pectin
plant protein extract
sodium caseinate
textured protein
whey protein
yeast extract
potassium glutamate
anything ultra pasteurized
anything fermented ie soy sauce
broth
boullion
flavoring or natural flavoring
hydrolyzed oat flour
anything protein fortified
free glutamate
Hydrolyzed vegetable protein is in everything processed and most restaurant foods ie: Burger King, McDonalds, Wendy`s, Taco Bell, TGIF, Chili`s, Applebee`s, Denny`s and Kentucky Fried Chicken is one of the worst offenders-their secret spice is MSG!
MSG is being added to canned soups, sauces, luncheon meats, salad dressings, dips, canned and frozen meats, fish, hot dogs, boullion cubes, all packaged snack foods, even beer.
When consumers started seeking out MSG-free food, some food packagers started adding `free glutamates` and claim that their foods are `msg-free`.

The website sponsored by the food manufacturers lobby group supporting MSG even explains that the reason they add it to food is to make people eat more !

If you go to the `National Library of Medicine` at www.pubmed.com and type in the words ” MSG Obese”, you will see about 115 medical studies about this subject.

Just in case some people aren`t aware that their symptoms might be from MSG, here is a list of some common symptoms:
abdominal pain/cramping
nausea
headache
drowsiness
rapid heartbeat
chest pain
weakness
intense cravings
facial pressure or tightness
tingling
burning sensation in the back of the neck, forearms or chest
numbness in the back of the neck, radiating to the arms and back
warmth in the face, temples, upper back, neck and arms
bronchospasm in intolerant people with asthma

This is another reason to eat as many `whole foods` as possible and try to eliminate all the processed, pre-packaged foods.

Stress Increases Your Sugar and Insulin Levels

Under stress your body triggers a state of alarm–the primitive ” flight or fight ” response. The adrenal glands ( small glands that sit on top of your kidneys) release stress hormones ( cortisol & adrenalin) into the bloodstream under stress. Theis response also increases the levels of fat, sugar and insulin in your blood. This is to prepare you for increased energy needs to perform your ” flight or fight” response.

You are having a busy day, no time for lunch and are grabbing all those high sugar/carbohydrate snacks-your sugar & insulin levels are really high and you are really riding that viscious roller coaster. You cant even imagine that you could possibly be gaining weight-but you are!! You can diet, think you are increasing the amount of energy you burn up and gain weight at the same time if you are under stress. This weight gain is due to the body`s original design to protect itself at all costs.

This also leads to insulin resistance.

Stress doesn`t even have to be real…it can be perceived.
Some of the causes of stress are: depression, anxiety, grief, low socioeconomic status, divorce, lonliness, unemployment, exposure to cold, environmental toxins, pain, too much exercise, smoking, stimulants, infection and being overweight.

Sleep deprivation is a major source of stress today and a major contributor to hunger and craving for high carbohydrate sugary foods.

High levels of cortisol and adrenalin can become a chronic condition leading to depression, memory loss, bone loss, heart disease, cancer and immune diseases.

Under stress the sympathetic nervous system gets turned on causing increased hunger, slow metabolism, increased blood sugar, heartburn or reflux and constipation. The stress hormone, cortisol, causes you to become less sensitive to `leptin`-the hormone that tells your brain you are full and therefore you keep eating and eating under stress.

Digestion is very poor under stress and you wont get
the nutrients from your food.

Higher levels of cortisol also cause low levels of testosterone and thyroid hormones.

Cortisol normally rises in the morning increasing your appetite so you will eat breakfast and have energy for the day. Cortisol then decreases in the evening and growth hormone and melatonin levels rise to prepare you for sleep and boby repair. Under stress this rhythm is disrupted causing some people to have `night-eating syndrome`. This condition leads to a decrease in appetite in the morning and increased hunger at night.

How to reduce stress:
Identify & try to reduce the causes of stress

Correct your insulin resistance using the all natural supplement `Glucofast`

Learn active relaxation exercises

Learn & practice deep breathing for relaxation–breathe in deeply, exhale slowly while commanding your body to relax, breath in deeply, exhale-relax. Repeat…Do anytime, anywhere even for a few minutes.

Eat whole foods that reduce stress ie: green leafy vegetables, high antioxidant fruits, whole grains, omega 3`s from wild fish or ground flaxseeds and lots of fiber.

Supplenents:
Antioxidants-vitamin C & E, zinc, B-complex, coenzyme Q10 and lipoic acid.

Potassium & Magnesium help balance the adrenals

Herbs can help you adapt to stress-ginseng, rhodiola, ashwagandha and licorice.

Managing stress in your life can make huge improvements in your overall health.

The worst thing you can do is to try to eliminate sugar cold turkey. The cravings will be overwhelming.

Getting off added sugar is the most wonderful thing you can do for yourself. However, it is no easy task and it is nearly impossible if you havent taken steps to reverse your `insulin resistance` by taking the all natural `Glucofast`.

Research in animals shows that sugar may have some addictive properties. A study from Princeton University found rats given too much sugar actually suffered symptoms of withdrawal when the sugar was taken away. I firmly believe this because I am finding it very difficult to get through a whole day without `something sweet` and I have to tell you I am not a sugar lover.
Sugar alone is bad enough, but most sugary foods also contain a lot of fat-usually trans fats or saturated fat. These both greatly increase the risk ofor heart disease and diabetes.
Sugar withdrawal can be compared to cigarette withdrawal. The cravings do subside after the first week and they actually only last about a minute at a time.
Add two things from the list each week and do your best.
Dont forget to `treat yourself ` at the end of the week.

If You Are Having Difficulty Loosing Weight for Any Reason, Your Metabolism is Too Slow

You Need To Know How To `Rev-up` Your Metabolism

Before you begin trying to rev up your metabolism, you need to reverse your insulin resistance by taking the all natural supplement `Glucofast`.

Specific Foods That `Quick-start` your Metabolism

The key to shedding major pounds is to determine what kind of weight control `genes` you have and then enjoy the foods that are proven to activate them.

This is the new emerging science of `Nutrigenomics`. Researchers at many Schools of Medicine have discovered that the foods we eat actually communicate with our genes and each persons individual genetic code responds differently to the messages sent out by different nutrients.

You can consume foods that `turn on` your weight loss genes and `turn off` your weight gain DNA. The proper foods for you will set your metabolism very high and loosing weight becomes easy.

There are 3 DNA types
Answer the questions below and if you say yes to three questions, you are probably that type.

DNA Type 1
I dont feel like being active after meals
I often crave sweets when I`m tired
When I feel on edge, a snack calms me down
I have a hard time remembering things
My moods are affected by my menstral cycle

DNA Type 2
I frequently have dark circles under my eyes
I suffer from headaches or heart palpatations
I tire easily, just doing chores
I often crave food, even right after a meal
I get light headed upon standing

DNA Type 3
I am bothered by strong odors, ie perfume, candles or smoke
I rarely ever feel energetic or upbeat
I hardly ever break a sweat
My muscles get sore even after easy exercise
I am sensitive to caffeine, experiencing headaches, disturbed sleep and/or anxiety

DNA Type 1`s need help to balance hormones. Research shows that levels of the hormones serotonin, leptin and insulin are controlled by cellular DNA. The fatigue, brain fog, cravings and ravenous appetite are caused by an imbalance of these 3 hormones.

Type 1`s need Omega 3 and fiber
Studies show that omega 3`s activate genes in fat cells that make leptin, activate genes in the brain that make serotonin ( the feel good hormone) and activate genes in the pancreas that make insulin.
Fiber will stabilize blood sugar levels and help you burn glucose and fat for energy.
The best food to achieve this is 1 cup of winter squash daily

Type 2`s produce up to 200% more cortisol than other people, they even produce excess cortisol when relaxing. Cortisol causes stress, makes you feel blue, tired, causes you to over eat and triggers the body to store more fat around the belly.
Type 2`s need zinc and B vitamins. The amount of zinc and B vitamins in 4 ounces of red meat daily will help the liver break down excess cortisol. If you dont want to eat red meat, B complex and zinc supplements will work.

Type 3`s are very sensitive to toxins and the free radicals that result naturally from digestion and other body processes. These free radicals make the liver sluggish and less able to break down fats. The brain fog and aches and pains are a direct result of toxins in the tissues.
Type 3`s need poweful antioxidants, especially polyphenols that can be obtained from dark chocolate, green tea, apples, red grapes, purple grape juice, berries and onions. You need two servings of any of these daily.

By eating the right food for your genotype you will put your metabolism into high gear.
